Bill Moving Florida's Presidential Primary Stalled in Committee

Despite widespread bipartisan support for the legislation moving Florida's presidential primary to a date one week after the nation's first in New Hampshire, the bill has been temporarily tabled by the Senate Committee on Ethics and Elections. Committee chair Senator Lee Constantine (R-Altamonte Springs) has proposed a date much later in February likely to occur after both parties have already selected their nominees.
