We collect a variety of personal information, such as a name, address, telephone number, credit card information, bank account information, email address and/or IM address, or other information about those who register on our site, make contributions through our site or use other functions or features on the site. We may obtain information about you from outside sources and add it to or combine it with the information we collect through this site. We use this information to operate this site, support CIVIC Concern's mission, send you news and information about CIVIC Concern, and to credit those who are organizing support for CIVIC Concern. We will not sell this information to any third party, under any circumstances. We work closely with allied like-minded organizations and individuals and may disclose selected user information to other organizations for their use in activities related to CIVIC's mission.
Because your contribution to CIVIC Concern is tax-deductible, we collect your contact information in order to send you a letter confirming the amount of your contribution for tax purposes. To make a contribution online, we also ask for your credit card number and its expiration date.
"Send to a Friend" Feature
CIVICConcern.org makes it easy for you to spread the word about CIVIC Concern with its "Send to a Friend" feature. When you use "Send to a Friend", we may store email addresses or any information about the people you contact.
The CIVICConcern.org Blog
We provide a blog on which you can post comments and messages for others to read. We may collect technical information about your post, such as the IP address from which you posted, and associate this information with your messages. Even if messages are deleted, we may retain copies and attendant information indefinitely. When you post messages to the blog, certain registration information, such as your email address, may be available to the public. Permission to access your information is granted only to you and persons who need to know that information to provide services to you. Although we make good faith efforts to store information collected by CIVICConcern.org in a secure operating environment, we cannot guarantee complete security.
